We made a commitment to walk the stairs instead of the elevators during this trip, in an attempt to stave off the dreaded waistline spread, and this morning we kicked it into high gear with a mile (3 laps) around the promenade deck. With our springy shape up shoes, every pitch and yawl* just about sent us into orbit so we made the trip in record time! (*See Word of the Day Sauced Aussie entry)
Then later on in the day Nikki convinced Ida to take (her first) spinning class. It’s hard to spin and stand and spin and sweat and lurch and 90% difficulty… uh-oh, Ida’s seasick….
Love the outdoor cinema screen (HUGE) on the top deck, where today we watched a lecture on NZL and had tea. “An Introduction to New Zealand” taught us how the white man had once again bilked the natives out of their land and heritage for a few iron pots and some protection from the French.
