Christchurch - Thursday, December 16th

Nikki bought a new camera last night, so there will be lots of pictures today testing it out. In Christchurch we decided to go on a gondola ride (arial tram) and a hike.

Christchurch Cathedral is an old beautiful stone church in the town center. Christchurch was hit by a huge earthquake on September 4th of this year and we saw evidence all over the place of how bad it was. Most of the damage was in the outlying villages though; the city center looked pretty good for the most part.

Ida is eating an avocado to prepare for the hike.
